Hi Lisa and Laci- This is an awesome blog!! So glad we are able to follow you along your Ghana excursion this summer. We are anxious to hear all about it too when you get back to PTS. Keep posting and I will keep following! Blessings, Jewelie Kenney- Office of Field Education :)
With God’s grace and mercy, I will begin my second year at Princeton Theological Seminary (PTS) in September 2012. My focus is pastoral care and counseling and when I return in the fall, I will serve as a chaplain intern at Princeton House Behavioral Health and University Medical Center of Princeton. This summer, however, I am honored to participate as an intern at Christ Presbyterian Church in Ghana, West Africa in the Akropong District. Through all of these experiences I will learn the Ghanaian way of worship, which is very expressive and the Ghanaian way of life in relation to faith.
Thus, I look forward to meeting, fellowshipping, ministering, breaking bread and learning from my brothers and sisters in Ghana. I also look forward to taking the time to develop a deeper relationship with God. Laci, my daughter who will begin her second year of college in the fall and who is majoring in web design and music is also excited about learning and sharing her gifts in Ghana. We both know that this is truly a God ordained experience and we are both very grateful for the opportunity!
