Welcome!
Greetings family and friends and welcome to our blog! This is Lisa and as many of you know I have been honored, blessed, and privileged to be selected by Princeton Theological Seminary to spend the summer of 2012 participating in an International Field Experience in Ghana, West Africa. Specifically, I will be serving as an intern with two of my classmates at Christ Presbyterian Church under the spiritual leadership and guidance of Pastor Daniel Nyarko. Our role will be to lead worship, preach, teach, offer pastoral care, and minister to the hearts of our Ghanaian sisters and brothers in three congregations. But more importantly, we are there to learn about the Ghanaian culture and way of life to better prepare us to be effective ministers of the gospel in a global world. Also, my daughter, Laci will be traveling with me for this once in a lifetime experience and we both look forward to whatever God has awaiting us! So, please keep all of us in your prayers as we make this spiritual journey to and from the motherland of Africa! We promise to keep you updated with our experiences during the three months in Ghana through pictures, videos, and words. Also, we invite you to respond to our blog and let us know how you are doing back home. In the meantime, thank you in advance for sharing this experience with us and we look forward to seeing you when we return in August. Have a great summer and God bless you all as we prepare for our flight tomorrow… Love Lisa and Laci

Good Afternoon Lisa!
I am excited for you and Laci as both of you embark on a life transforming experience. This blog is a gear idea. I am thrilled that I will have the opportunity to share this experience with you. Please send my regards to Poppa Michael and Poppa Nyarko, Mama Gifty, and Mama Delight. Lastly, my life was changed last year when I was in Ghana after learning about the Jabez prayer. This simple prayer is found in 1 Chronicles 4:9-10. So, I pray that God bless you, that God increase your territories, that God's hand be upon you and your family while in Africa and after Africa and that God keeps you from all evil.
Peace and Blessings!
Ronald
Hey Lisa, Hey Laci-
By now you should've reached your destination. I pray you both are well and are comfortably getting settled into your place in Ghana. It is great you can share this adventure together. I pray your summer will be blessed with much fulfillment. I know the Ghanian people will be blessed having you there sharing your gifts from God with them.
I can't wait to read all about and see pics of all you both are learning and experiencing this summer.
Remember, keep an open mind, be strong and focused, and keep God close in heart at all times and you will have the journey of a lifetime!
Blessings from the Field Education Office :)
Today is Sunday. We arrived safely to Ghana and have been busy ever since. Today we finally found a place to use the internet. We are in town at one of the internet cafe's. Now that we know where the cafe is we hope to come back to share pictures and an update of what we have been doing. We pray all of you are doing well. The weather is beautiful, our host pastor and church family have all been welcoming and a blessing to all of us, and the food has been delicious. The electricity is on and off a lot and it has been raining a lot this week but when it is not raining it is around 80-85 degrees. Take care for now...we hope to send updates in a few days.
Love,
Lisa and Laci
